The 1965 Mexican Grand Prix was won by American Driver Richie Ginther in the Honda fa301 formula one racing car. A first for both driver and team.

I am a gear head, I admit it and don't regret it. in the late 60's and early 70's I followed the CanAm series and TransAm series and went to several races. When I turned 18, I joined the Sports Car Club of America and had the honor of being a pit marshal at Mid Ohio. I met Jim Hall, had to ask George Haas to put his cigar out, it wasn't lit, he laughed. Spoke with Mark Donahue, watched George Foreman and Jacky Ickx get into a fight, witnessed the Chapparal 2J ground effects car be disqualified as Mr Hall took the news like a gentleman. Since I am not athletic, I'm no racecar driver, but I love to draw and that's what I have the freedom to do now. There are much better and more accurate artists in this world, but I love trying.
