Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Red sand were left on the cracks of the sidewalk at the East Los Angeles Art Walk as part of a participatory artwork.
Overlooked populations � refugees, immigrants, girls, and others � are most at risk of being enslaved, spending their lives being exploited for the profit of others. To recognize those who are overlooked, he took a queue from Molly Gochman and fills the sidewalk cracks with red sand, stood back, and watched as within minutes, visitors regarded the participatory artwork as a prank, not even knowing they are walking over an art installation.
Unless noted otherwise, all works on this site are collaborations between contemporary artist "Knife" Sotelo and Fine Art America who have been making guerilla art installations May 2016, mostly out of alchemist sand, and mostly in East Los Angeles. His goal is to get people to notice things they pass everyday but never see. The simplicity and fanciful nature of his work set it apart from typical street art.
